Description

A beautiful Australian native twisting climber with lovely sprays of purple pea flowers in winter and spring on a trailing plant. It is ideal either as a climber when given support or as a ground cover for scrambling over banks. A tough plant that is semi-frost hardy, but will only withstand moderate dry conditions.

Cultivation

Lilacs will grow in full sun or light shade in moist, well drained, lime free soil that is ph neutral to somewhat acidic. For best growing/flowering results, do not allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Once established, an infrequent application of fertilizer is beneficial. The plant has no major pest or disease issues.
