Description

A small, bushy, deciduous shrub growing to between 60 and 90cm tall with fragrant white petal-less flowers which are upright, conical, brush-like spikes with conspicuous creamy white stamens in early spring. They appear before the foliage, which is roughly diamond shaped, heavily ribbed and hazel-like. The leaves start out bright green and develop intense yellow, orange and red tones in autumn.
