Description

A colourful and hardy perennial with a basal rosette of bushy, finely cut silver toothed, light green to grey-green leaves and an abundance of attractive semi-double orange/tangerine shaded flowers up to a height of 60cm. The blooming season ranges from spring to mid-summer. An excellent addition for colourful garden borders and containers.

Cultivation

Spanish Poppy is fully frost hardy and is easily grown, preferring a position in full sun with light, moist, and well drained soil. These plants die down to a papery brown mound once the flowering season is over, and can be trimmed back to improve their appearance until they are ready to re-grow. It will respond well to fertiliser and water during the growing season.
