Description

A sweetly fragrant and brightly coloured jasmine which grows from 1.8 to 3 metres in height and spread. Its long, arching canes eventually form a wide fountain shape. The deep green leaves are made up of 3 leaflets and it produces bright yellow, scented blooms during late winter and early spring. It is a marginally frost hardy evergreen shrub from Western China.

Cultivation

Plant in an open, sunny position in fertile, moist but well draining soil. Prepare the growing site by digging over the soil and adding a good handful of blood and bone, rich compost or well decayed animal manure prior to planting out. To maintain, simply prune to remove old canes to thin out crowded plants.
