Description

Limelight is an evergreen, large, hardy shrub growing to 3 metres tall which is suitable for tough areas or coastal regions. It has variegated leaves which are silvery-green at first and then turn dark green with a broad central bright yellow botch. Limelight is fully sun hardy plant that produces some small but sweetly scented white to near white flowers in autumn. It makes an excellent bushy screening plant or clipped hedge and is generally vigorous and trouble free.

Cultivation

Limelight can be grown in either full sun or part shade and is quite frost hardy. Plant them out 3 to 3.6 metres apart in a moist, free draining soil in any average soil. Add some complete fertiliser into the soil mix and water in thoroughly. Once established, it can be pruned back heavily if a bushy shape is desired.
