Description

Fantastic new Australian native evergreen perennial with large leaves and sweetly scented daisy like rose-pink flowers most of the year. Hot Candy grows to only 3cm tall and is an attractive low growing ground cover or rockery plant which is also an excellent choice for hanging baskets.

Cultivation

Brachyscome requires a sunny position in a light, well drained garden soil. It is moderately frost hardy and once established does not require watering as it prefers dry soil conditions. Prepare the growing site by digging over the soil and adding a good handful of blood and bone, rich compost or well decayed animal manure prior to planting out. Water in well at planting time and then only on an occasional basis to promote growth. Pinch out early shoots to encourage branching. No particular pests or diseases.
