Description

Pink Spice is a branching and woody stemmed large, lush, evergreen shrub of elliptical, deep-green and prominently veined leaves. In winter/early spring it produces gorgeously scented tubular, pale, pink flower heads to a height and spread of 2 metres.

Cultivation

Pink Spice prefers light to medium, acidic, well drained soils to protect it from root rot. Locate it in a protected sunny position. As it is frost and drought sensitive, it prefers humid, warm and temperate climates but also grows quite well in cooler locations as well. The plants can be pruned back gently after flowering to prevent it from becoming too straggly. It will respond well to fertiliser and water during the growing season. No known pests or diseases.
