Description
An exciting new miniature evergreen weeping ground cover shrub or trained as a standard with an abundance of double pink blooms over rich green foliage. Marge Miller grows to only a modest height and spread of 1 to 1.5 metres at maturity and is a must have for autumn/winter colour in borders and as a handsome tub specimen. It is a moderately frost hardy camellia that is suited to gardens and container growing in temperate to cool climatic regions with adequate winter rainfalls.
Cultivation
Marge Miller prefers well drained, slightly acidic soil enriched with organic matter and generally grows best in humid, sunny, protected positions. Prepare the planting site by digging over the soil and adding a good handful of blood and bone or rich compost prior to planting out. Ensure that the soil is kept moist at all times and this can be best assisted by mulching thoroughly. They like continuously moist soil but it must have adequate drainage to prevent root rot. Prune only to keep the plant to a desired shape but is otherwise unnecessary. No particular pests or diseases.
